After graduating as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Cape Town,  I had the opportunity to work in Connecticut, USA for three years.  There I was very lucky to get a position in acute care trauma and Paediatrics, which started my love of working with children and first introduced me to Sensory Integration. 

I moved back to South Africa in 1993 to start the sensory integration training, which I have continued to be passionate about.  Over the past 20+ years, I have seen the change it has made in the children I see and the families I work with. 

Setting up my own practice after leaving the NHS and my work in a language based school has allowed me to focus on providing unfussy but real OT. After having reduced my working week while my 2 sons were very young, I joined the team of a progressive school that champions the potential of each pupil. That, together with watching my boys grow has inspired me to develop the potential in each child I work with and to believe even more strongly in the work we do.
